Summary: Operates loader for numerous jobs around the company. Performs maintenance on machines and equipment and assists supervisor to keep operations running efficiently and safely.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Take care of and monitor all aspects of the yard and the mechanical operations of the facility.
•Keep aggregates piles neatly and pushed up properly to avoid waste and segregation.
•Load materials from stockpiles keeping bins full to feed batch plant and load trucks.
•Move variety of materials including snow to clear roads and parking lots.
•Keep track of inventory letting the supervisor know when materials need ordered
•Operate machine consistent with safety policies of the company as well as any rules and regulations required by state and federal safety standards.
•Oil, grease or otherwise service and make necessary adjustments or repairs to equipment and batch plant.
•Responsible for filling out equipment sheets on a daily basis and doing any necessary follow up.
•Blow up cement tankers when needed
•Keep reclaim ponds clean.
•Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
•Knowledge of aggregates helpful.
•Must have experience in heavy equipment or willing to learn and must be mechanically inclined, but willing to train the right person.
•Must be physically capable of doing manual work and lifting at least 75 pounds.
•Computer experience helpful but not required.
•CDL not required, but preferred.
