Force Inspection Services is a leading oilfield asset and tubular management and services company to the upstream oil and gas industry. Its core business revolves around drill pipe, drill tools, sucker rods, casing and production tubing, coating services, and tubular products for production and completion. Force’s services include in-plant and mobile inspection, repair, machining, and manufacturing.
Reporting to the Yard Manager, the Loader Operator supports Logistics and Yard operations by operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
· Organizes and coordinates pipe in the yard as jobs are in progress.
· Performs daily safety and maintenance checks of equipment.
· Cleans heavy equipment as scheduled and / or required.
· Maintains service reputation and customer satisfaction in the yard with proper and timely job execution.
· Reviews and assesses asset management in the yard,
· Supports Shipper/Receiver in managing and tracking tally sheets for pipe.
· Assists Operations Manager with team management and training.
· Responsible for ensuring safety procedures and initiatives are executed, supporting incident reporting, facilitates compliance with yard crews with checklists prior to shift start.
· Complies with Force Inspection’s Health & Safety program and Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.
· 2-3 years’ experience operating a Loader, handling tubular products.
· Knowledge of Oil and Gas Inspection services is preferred.
· Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality in reporting.
· API & Premium thread knowledge considered an asset.
· Experience reading mechanical drawings considered an asset.
· Effective problem solving, decision making and communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple stakeholders.
· Superior detail orientation; values accuracy and has high standards around quality of work.
· Positive approach, with willingness to do what is needed.
· Ability to meet pre-employment testing requirements (i.e., drug and alcohol, physical fitness, audiogram and vision testing).
· Ability to work in outdoor Canadian temperatures (-25 degrees to +30 degrees).
· May be required to work in hazardous environments requiring PPE.
· May be exposed to dust and high noise levels.
This position will be Monday – Friday with occasional overtime or weekends depending on site location needs.
