This is a contract role through Magnit for Consumers Energy in Jackson, Michigan. This role is hybrid to Jackson, Michigan and may require reporting to other locations to include courthouse or government offices.

Job Overview:

Thorough understanding of various conveyance documents, land related contracts and agreements, including but not limited to, fee simple, rights-of-way, leases, easements, licenses, permits and releases. -Perform internal and external due diligence to ensure accuracy and completeness of land rights or to identify and bring forward deficiencies requiring curative action -Ability to plan and organize workload, adjusts to changing priorities, and work well under pressure with minimal supervision. -Perform internal and external due diligence to ensure accuracy and completeness of land rights. or to identify and bring forward deficiencies requiring curative action. -Effectively use Owner’s established policies, procedures, processes to perform work.

Requirements:

Knowledge of settlement instruments and contract terms. -Through knowledge of how to read and interpret land legal descriptions. -Must be proficient in land title research in courthouse and other government offices of record and be able to prepare chain of title. -Prepare and utilize spreadsheets to support Real Estate efforts. Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Right of Way/Real Estate industry with at least 1 year working in the capacity of a Title Agent.

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)

The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $17 -$21.50/hr
