The
Associate, Real Estate Specialistposition involves supporting the preparation and administration of real estate transactional documentation related to the development of renewable energy facilities to support the Company’s wind, solar and battery storage business.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support paralegal and attorney teammates to draft, review and process a variety of real estate documents, from leases and amendments to title curative documents, and other transactional documents related to the development of renewable energy projects.
- Research property records and review title documents to determine ownership and verify legal descriptions.
- File documents through online filing programs and coordinate with County Clerks in various jurisdictions to ensure accurate, timely recording.
- Create and manage trackers, checklists and/or timelines to keep the team’s property acquisitions, title review processes, and project deliverables on schedule.
- Collaborate with title companies to order title and monitor the delivery of title commitments and policies.
- Support the team’s administration of a high volume of documents — coordinating signatures, organizing files, and keeping key deadlines on track.
- Keep project folders up to date on the Company’s internal management system and maintain well-organized digital and physical records.
- Collaborate with paralegals, attorneys, developers, and other internal and external project stakeholders to move projects forward.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Degree-educated preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in a role involving the administration of a high volume of transactional documentation, with a preference for experience in the real estate or renewables industry
- Manages time well and prioritizes effectively to meet deadlines
- Utilizes available resources to solve problems, including asking thoughtful questions and engaging the team proactively
- Maintains strong organization and attention to detail
- Demonstrates ability to navigate office systems, softwares, and other technology, and shows a willingness to continue learning and adapting to the same
- Handles work with professionalism, integrity, and discretion
- Communicates effectively with people from different backgrounds, demonstrating empathy and a commitment to fostering positive working relationships
- Responds well to constructive feedback and adapts to changing needs
