About Us:
At EnviCore, we’re transforming how the world builds by turning mineral resources and waste streams into sustainable supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs). Our team brings together expertise in mineral processing, cement chemistry, and applied mineralogy to deliver low-carbon solutions to the global construction industry.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an R&D Manager to help design, coordinate, and interpret our research programs in SCM development. This role will focus on planning experiments, ensuring high-quality data collection, and applying data analysis skills to clean, organize, and identify correlations in R&D results. The successful candidate will also bring strong instrumentation familiarity, spanning advanced analytical tools and experience with heavy machinery used in materials R&D.
- Work closely with the CTO and R&D team to define research needs and experimental plans.
- Manage the collection, cleaning, and organization of R&D data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Apply statistical and data analysis techniques to identify trends, correlations, and performance drivers.
- Assist in the use of predictive analysis to understand how material properties relate to SCM performance.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate key laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Ensure SOPs and calibration logs are maintained for all equipment.
- Coordinate with lab staff and external partners to ensure experiments are aligned with R&D objectives.
- TGA/DSC, Calorimeters, particle size analyzer – operation, calibration, and data interpretation.
- Strong understanding of mineralogical and chemical characterization workflows.
- Comfort with handling and preparing mineral and cementitious samples.
- Thermal analysis tools: XRD, XRF (instrument operation and calibration).
- Process equipment: ball mills, kilns, mixers, pelletizers, or similar heavy R&D machinery.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining lab-scale process setups.
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mineralogy, or related field. Advanced degrees are an asset but not required.
- Industrial or applied R&D experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with lab instruments is essential.
- Familiarity with thermal analysis and processing machinery is a plus.
- Competence in data cleaning, organization, and statistical analysis is preferred.
- Familiarity with tools such as Python, R, or Excel for data handling and visualization is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of low-carbon construction materials.
- Apply your combined lab and industrial R&D expertise in a fast-paced cleantech environment.
- Be part of a multidisciplinary team driving global sustainability impact.
