Ranch helper Job Description
Maintain operational oversight of a 30K-acre ranch with exotic animals in Del Rio County. Development and implementation of strong plans and strategic practices are required to improve the profitability of the ranch. Maintain all ranch infrastructure and oversee construction of new projects on the land. Establish goals and objectives in line with the goals and mission of the company to increase revenue.
Responsibilities:
•Responsible for ranch operation, developing operation plans, and completing operation targets.
•Manage land, resources, and wildlife on a 30K-acre ranch.
•Able to execute all administrative duties of the ranch and maintain close budget practices and oversight.
•Monitor contracts with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
•Maintain and enhance relationships with landowners, the local community, municipalities, county councils, etc.
•Manage a ranch team of five and ranch maintenance.
•Customer Management (CRM) – communicate with and obtain feedback from clients (hunting and grazing) regularly; maintain positive relationships and improve customer experience.
•Improve ranch efficiency by forecasting, analyzing sales, and profitability.
•Improve ranch planning, functional zoning, and animal development based on the ranch situation.
•Provide services to guests and visitors visiting the ranch, cater to their requirements, and ensure their safety.
•Enforce safety policies and ensure the safe operation of the ranch.
Requirements & Qualifications:
•At least 4 years of ranch management experience.
•Proven leadership record with successful ranch operations.
•Must have experience with exotic animals and trading, including red sheep, black buck, axis, aoudad, fallow, elk, etc.
•Preferable experience in commercial hunting.
•Experienced in consulting and marketing strategy formulation.
•Have a pioneering and innovative spirit.
•Candidates with local connections are strongly preferred.
