Job Summary:
Responsible for the activities of inspecting, testing, and reporting on materials, processes, products, and finished goods to ensure conformance with company and customer specifications and quality standards using variable measuring instruments and techniques. Assists in receiving and assembly of products and creating on occasion.
Reports to: Director of Quality
Responsibilities:
•Documenting quality inspections, recording serial numbers and labels, etc.
•Engages in facility problem solving activities to reduce scrap, material reduction, increase capability, and productivity.
•Addresses daily quality concerns and questions. Offers recommendations as required.
•Troubleshoots manufacturing problems and quality issues. Works with Operations and Quality personnel to investigate, collect and analyze data to resolve and implement corrective action, where applicable.
•Work closely with operation teams to ensure process controls are in place and adequate to meet standard requirements.
•Responsible for accuracy and timely inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.
•Ensure that any non-conforming product is properly identified, quarantined, and communicated and documented.
•Examines material or product for defects such as cracks, pits, wiring, and damaged components, etc.
•Verifies specified dimensions/aspect requirements of product and/or material.
•Performs other job-related duties as required and assigned.

•Must be able to lift product, materials, and equipment as necessary to perform the job.
•Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
•Ability to read and write the English language.
•Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and resourceful.
•Ability to read and understand both electrical and mechanical drawings.
Work Environment & Physical Responsibilities:
•Duties are performed in a loud production setting subject to extreme temperatures. Some duties may be required to be performed outside. Comfortable with repetitive movement, kneeling, crouching, and stooping. Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds while bending, twisting and/or standing.
Education and Experience:
•Manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)
•Quality inspections: 3 Years (Preferred)
•Experience or knowledge of quality control techniques such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, TQM, Etc.
•Experience or knowledge of measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
Physical Requirements:
•Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.
