- The Inspector’s responsibilities include:
- Inspecting threaded parts to meet specifications set forth by the company and API Specification 7-2
- Performing visual inspections upon receipt
- Conducting in-process and finished product inspections
- Maintaining a complete understanding of the Inspection Program as specified in NOV Tuboscope Vol. VI – New Rotary Shouldered Connections
- Meeting established company production goals
- Reporting issues or problems to the appropriate level of management
- Completing detailed inspection reports
- Enforcing and complying with NOV HSE policies at the facility
- Completing training as required by MS MATRIX-001
- Physical stature must support operating machinery for 8–12 hours per day
- No recurring physical issues that could be aggravated by this type of work
- Good visual acuity
- Good color perception
- Ability to read and understand written instructions
- Ability to learn to operate applicable measuring and testing equipment
- Average mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Ability to comprehend threading-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
