Engineering Manufacturing Technologies (“EMT”) is a metal component manufacturer located near Binghamton, NY. Our manufacturing facility is over 130,000 sq. ft. and we employ over 125 personnel. EMT has been in business for over 70 years and our manufacturing processes include Punch Press Stampings, Sheet Metal Fabrications, and CNC Machining & Turned parts. EMT is known as a leader in our industry and our manufacturing facility houses the “most state of the art” equipment. Our continued growth in the automotive, aerospace, commercial/industrial, DOD, firearm, and pharmaceutical industries requires EMT to hire an experienced Delivery Driver.
The person we hire will be experienced in ensuring our parts meet quality standards before shipping to the customer. We are looking for a self-starter who has the ability to:
· Performs or coordinates inspection of received goods per the quality guidelines which includes verification of high-risk material from new supplies, first time deliveries, engineering change rework or material with history of poor performance on the plant floor.
· Completes first piece inspections, WIP inspections and final inspections at each manufacturing operation.
· Verifies and supports dispositions of non-conforming materials either internal or customer returned via the RMA process. Ensures the integrity of the quality data input in the non-conforming material report database. Interfaces with internal and external personnel as required in the performance of these activities.
· Collects quality data; enters and manipulates data utilizing spreadsheets and databases.
· Participates in problem solving activities using data analysis and SPC techniques as well as effective cross-functional problem-solving skills.
· Provides basic training on quality related topics and inspection/verification techniques to machine operators.
We are seeking an individual with strong inspection experience and the ability to get the job done! If you are the person we are looking for you will enjoy:
· Associate’s degree in a technical discipline and (3) years of experience in a quality related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
· Demonstrated clear understanding of appropriate revision of ANSI geometric dimensioning and tolerancing methodologies in reading and interpreting part print.
· Detail oriented and thoroughly complete all work tasks.
· Ability to determine correct choice of verification techniques and equipment for the task in question.
