Quality Control Lab Technician (2nd Shift)

AluChem, Inc. is a global leader in specialty alumina products. We are currently hiring a Quality Control Lab Technician to join our 2nd shift team.

This is a hands-on role in an industrial laboratory environment—ideal for someone with a background in inorganic chemistry, materials science, or industrial quality control who wants a stable, long-term career.

Shift: 2nd = 3:30 pm-11:30 pm

Pay: $20.50/hour + bonus eligibility + benefits: Medical, vision, dental, 401k w/ match, company paid short-term disability & life insurance

What You’ll Do

- Perform particle size testing on alumina using:

- Analytical sieves and screens

- Air jet sieving equipment

- Surface area testing instruments

- Record, analyze, and report test results accurately.

- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.

- Partner with production teams to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

What to Expect

- This is not a medical or sterile lab—it’s an industrial QC lab.

- Work involves alumina powders and nuisance dust.

- The role is active and hands-on, not desk-based.

What We’re Looking For

- 1 year experience in a quality control or industrial lab (manufacturing, materials testing, or inorganic chemistry preferred).

- Familiarity with particle size or physical property testing a plus.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.

- Reliable team player with excellent attendance and work ethic.
