Quality Control Inspector

POSITION DESCRIPTION: QA INSPECTOR

Reports To: Quality Engineer (QE)

Shifts either: Monday thru Friday OR Friday thru Tuesday, and when required based on the needs of the company.

Hours: We are looking to hire for all shifts, but if hired, personnel will start and be trained for and unspecified amount of time from 7AM-3:30PM.

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented , career minded, seasoned Quality Inspector to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of our products meet all internal and external quality requirements through meticulous testing and analysis.

Responsibilities:

Primary Function: Maintains quality standards by auditing incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results.

- Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and customer specifications.

- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished components:

a. Conduct various tests and quality checks on finished products. Insure that all tested products fall within standards, measured to specifications and within tolerances, readability of labels, etc.

b. Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.

c. Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.

d. Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.

- Follow all housekeeping procedures. Organizes work and storage areas for efficient workflow. Comply with all quality, safety, work rules and regulations.

Skills:

- Must understand and be able to use inspection hand tools such as Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Hardness Testers, Tape Measures, etc.

- Ability to read and understand GD&T, Blueprints, and Product Drawings is preferred.

- Proficiency in quality assurance and quality control methodologies

- Strong Math Skills - A math assessment will be given to the prospective candidate where you will need to show basic math skills.

- Strong knowledge of quality management principles

- Ability to conduct thorough quality inspections using vision inspection systems

- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

HOURLY RATE OF PAY IS DETERMINED BY EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, PRIOR TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS. $19/HR IS A STARTING RATE

Candidates are needed for the 11pm-7:30 am shift

OR

3pm-11:30pm shift ( with the caveat of a training period 7AM-3pm)
