Quality Assurance 1st Shift Team member

General Summary:

Performs a variety of duties to identify finished product and maintain production and quality data safely and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible to correctly identify finished material using die blocks and computer files.

- Can operate isoscope, spectrophotometer and nova scope glossmeter.

- Enters quality information into CFS.

- Tracks and record job information by color chip retain.

- Performs solvent rub, pencil test, cross hatch and boil test on sample panels.

- Has an understanding of customer quality standards and inspects to the criteria.

- Accurately enters quantity of parts that meet and didn’t meet quality standards into computer software systems (CFS and Epicore).

- Prepares unloaders for what material is anticipated based off of the production schedule, ensuring the proper carts are ready.

- Print labels for parts and attach it to the material once unloaded indicating the part identification number and the number of pieces.

- Identify short counts and email Customer Service, Racking Lead and Unloading Lead so they can research the discrepancy.

- Print label for material that needs to be reworked on colored paper, containing the job number, and attach it to material.

- Enter paint usage into Epicore using the information received from IHB and the production time to run the job. Manually adjust as necessary.

- Reschedule rework on Mainline or Small Job Center (depending on the parameters of the rework) through Epicore. Notify appropriate Lead if the job is due the same day.

- Run end of day reports from CFS and Epicore. Check for discrepancies between the reports and research and correct errors. Look up any jobs in CFS and Epicore that can be closed out.

- Review and audit hours in Epicore, including time, expense, and materials.

- Run paint extract report from CFS and email the information to appropriate groups.

- Close out jobs that were processed as wash only. Tag material accurately and ensure it is sent to Small Jobs Center.

- Make any corrections indicated necessary by a Finance Audit.

- Acts as a back-up for Production Support.

- Maintains a clean work area and performs housekeeping duties as needed.

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

- Knowledge of industrial paint operations and experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

- Data entry accuracy and speed required.

- Ability to keep up with fast paced, continuously moving production line. Also, able to make decisions quickly.

- Basic math skills required.

- Must learn and remember dies and exposures.

- Written and verbal communication needed.

- Ability to work in a team or independently.
