Work Schedule: Standard schedule is Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays (50-60 hrs).
Purpose: Supervise and direct on-site personnel involved in quality control work on multiple job sites within company. Guide technical direction of activities, resolution of problem areas and/or questions.
- Prepares and maintains corporate QA/QC policies and procedures.
- Reviews and analyzes other department’s procedures for compliance with corporate expectations.
- Participates in review meetings to resolve areas of nonconformance and follows-up to ensure corrections are implemented timely and effectively.
- Ensures that third-party vendors, suppliers and subcontractors adhere to company quality standards and requirements on all projects.
- Builds, develops, and manages QA/QC department staffed with professionals who specialize in various construction/design disciplines as needed.
- Can oversee multiple staff and at least 3 projects at one time.
- Analyze and interpret technical drawings and procedures.
- Work within company policy as outlined in the H+M Employee Handbook, as well as, the H+M Safety Manual and OSHA Safety rules.- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor on an as needed basis.
- 5 years of experience in a related field required.
- Certified Welding Inspector License Required.
- PT level 2 certification preferred.
- High school diploma, or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years of field QA/QC experience required.
- Working knowledge in the following disciplines: Civil, Structural, Pipe, Mechanical, and Welding required.
- Strong written and oral communication skill
- Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Sit for long periods of time
- Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch
- Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects
Environment: Working conditions encountered in this job include those found in a typical office setting as well as an indoor/outdoor manufacturing setting which includes exposure to outside weather conditions, work at elevated heights, climbing of stairs and ladders, and physical manipulation of tools and mechanical equipment. This job demands the use of typical manufacturing personal protective equipment as well as advanced protective equipment as needed
