Project QA/QC

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Project QA/QC opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.

Work Location: Aiken, SC

Responsibilities:

- Prepare plans to include schedules, budgets, and personnel requirements to solve technical and quality engineering tasks identified by management.

- Develop schedules, monitor progress, monitor budget expenditures, and review the quality of work completed to ensure that technical and quality requirements are met.

- Support facility/project needs within the assigned area by conducting procurement, procedure, and work package review.

- Communicate objectives and results to customers, colleagues, and management.

- Prepare reports, professional papers, and articles for internal publication; occasionally prepare reports for external publication.

- Communicate with DOE Sr. personnel regarding the QA/QC Program and corrective action status.

- Enhance expertise in the field through leadership in local technical societies.

- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science degree with ten (10) years of relevant construction and QA/QC experience OR a High School diploma (or GED) with twenty (20) years of relevant experience.

- ACI (American Concrete Institution) certification

- Civil work experience in a QC environment

- Experience in quality control/assurance execution in nuclear, DOE, or other industry executing line-item construction projects.

- Working knowledge of SRNS processes and procedures.

- Ability to perform weekly field walk-downs of the job site for engineering work being performed (these walk-downs may involve construction sites with uneven surfaces and work in-progress, walking for distances over a half mile, and climbing ladders to access remote areas).

- Ability to monitor and validate quality of work package/construction reviews for the Project.

- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and cultivate positive working relationships and interfaces with both internal and external customers.

- Active DOE Q Security Clearance preferred.

- Must be a U.S. Citizen
