Job Summary:
NAES has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager that will support the construction of a new state-of-the-art 840MW combined cycle power plant project. Reporting to the Sr. Project Manager, the QA/QC Manager is responsible for the administration of the project quality control program, while providing oversight on the EPC Contractor’s Quality Programs. The QA/QC Manager will ensure that the EPC contract partners are in compliance with their applicable programs by auditing/monitoring/reviewing their quality assurance/quality control performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to drive commissioning, construction, engineering, and field personnel to embrace and adhere to commissioning, operations, and construction standards that drive the organization towards the operability, maintainability, and reliability objectives.
- Perform an oversight role for the various EPC Contractor’s Quality Programs, which will include participation in on-site inspections being performed by the EPC Site Quality Inspectors.
- Provide audits of Contract Partners' quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure they are following their processes and meeting industry codes/standards, and specification requirements.
- Work with EPC contract partners to ensure construction quality meets or exceeds applicable codes, standards, and contract requirements.
- Build partnerships and liaison with construction, engineering, project controls, project delivery/execution, and operations groups to facilitate continuous improvement in construction and commissioning practices that serve to improve reliability of plant systems.
- Develop and execute deliverables, guidelines, plans, procedures, reporting, schedules, and staffing to monitor the EPC Quality Programs.
- Provide supervision, training, mentorship, and development to other quality professionals on the construction monitoring team.
- Engaged leader with technical and field leadership experience in managing quality programs for power generation and transmission facilities.
- Proven electrical experience related to quality control in power generation projects.

- Significant experience and knowledge in Power Generation and Power Delivery utility systems with an understanding of safety, commissioning, environmental, testing, operations, maintenance, NERC/SERC/CIP policies and procedures applicable to Power Generation and Power Delivery.
- Be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Be able to climb ladders up and down multiple times a day.
- Be able to tolerate fluctuations in weather conditions, working indoors and outdoors as required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to tolerate noise typical of a construction site.
- High School Diploma required.
- Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant college degrees are strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of quality inspection experience, including managerial experience, with a degree, or 15+ years without a degree.- Certification in discipline (e.g., AWS, CWI, ISM) or relevant equivalent is strongly preferred.
