Sr. (Lead) QA Analyst II

The Sr. (Lead) QA Analyst role reports to the Manager of the Quality Management ("QM") department. This position will be responsible for creating and implementing test approaches and test plans to test application enhancements and changes against documented business requirements and user stories, in a manner which results in a high quality solution meeting the functional and non-functional requirements of the user base. The Sr. (Lead) QA Analyst provides testing services and test leadership to project teams and departments at PJM and guides other testers and business users through the testing process. A key aspect of this role is the actual performance of testing in the PJM application and system environments. Additionally, this role is responsible for guiding and implementing the overall methodology practices PJM uses within the organization. Essential Functions include understanding and customizing PJM SDLC processes, creating innovative QA approaches, developing QA benchmarks and metrics, maintaining customer focus, participating in strategy development, budgeting, providing training and mentoring, performing testing duties including developing test strategies, directing infrastructure and database teams, ensuring support for all necessary testing types, maintaining test data and documentation, leading projects, evaluating and implementing testing tools, working independently and guiding others, and building strong client relationships. Required qualifications include a BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience, attention to detail, effective communication, experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred qualifications include an MBA, experience with PJM operations and committees, and ISTQB certification.
