QA Document Control Specialist - 1st Shift

We're currently hiring a QA Document Control Specialist for 1st Shift schedule starting 8am-4:30p Monday-Friday (occasional overtime).

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: (Summary of job duties)

Create templates and writing standards to ensure clear and correct communications with business partners, customers, vendors, and between departments. Using the responsibilities below will help produce the desired results within Quality Assurance Department parameters, to exceed customer expectation and requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Write and create documents for proposals, letters, manuals, summaries and documentation templates to support department requirements.

- Participate in project meetings, identifying documents necessary to meet goals and then creating those documents according to company and customer standards.

- Tracking the status of quality programs and following up with the responsible parties that need to participate in the documentation process.

- Review and edit all the documents created within the department or company as directed

- Responsible for documenting alterations to those standards and following a systematic review process for the requested changes or updates.

- Maintain customer portfolios that contain recent and past audits, specifications and project summaries. Collaborate with other department managers to create new documents for business development.

- Create systematic audit guidance to meet with customer and quality program requirements.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Must be proficient in working with computers and designated software programs as required to perform job functions. Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English. Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision and have the ability to interact positively with others within the department and the organization. Must have excellent organization skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associates Degree with two to three years experience responsible for the work requirements stated above. College education can be substituted with additional applicable work experience. Work experience in the food industry within quality assurance is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment, with occasional activity performed in a warehouse type atmosphere where the temperature is approximately 32 degrees. Noise level in the production environment may require use of hearing protection. While performing the responsibilities of this position, the individual is required to have ambulatory skills sufficient to visit various parts of the facility. Requires the ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30lbs. Requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone and other equipment for extended periods of time.
