Job Title: Purchasing Coordinator Reports To: General Manager Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the procurement activities of the organization by coordinating the purchase of goods and services. This role involves processing purchase orders, maintaining vendor relationships, tracking shipments, ensuring inventory levels meet business needs, and assisting with cost control. The Purchasing Coordinator works closely with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Process and track purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures

•

Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials

•

Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery dates

•

Assist with inventory management and forecast supply needs

•

Communicate with internal departments regarding order status and delivery timelines

•

Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers, under the guidance of management

•

Resolve order discrepancies and ensure quality standards are met

•

Support the sourcing of new suppliers and products

Qualifications:

•

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, or related field preferred

•

1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination

•

Strong organizational and communication skills

•

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems a plus

•

Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

•

Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

Salary: $40,000-$50,000 annually
