Punch Press Operator

We are seeking a skilled Punch Press Operator to join our 1st/2nd Shift manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining punch presses to ensure high-quality production of parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, precision measuring instruments, and quality inspection techniques. Punch Press Operators play a critical role in the efficiency and effectiveness of our production line.

Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor press machinery to produce parts according to specifications.

- Read and interpret blueprints to understand production requirements.

- Assemble components as needed during the production process.

- Conduct quality inspections on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.

- Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.

- Perform routine maintenance on press equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the production process.

- Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and quality.

Skills

- Proficiency in programming press machinery for various tasks.

- Strong blueprint reading skills to accurately follow technical drawings.

- Experience with lathe operations and assembly processes.

- Knowledge of electrical discharge machining techniques is a plus.

- Solid mechanical knowledge to understand equipment functionality and maintenance needs.

- Familiarity with plasma cutting processes is advantageous.

- Ability to use tooling effectively for various manufacturing tasks.

- Competence in quality inspection methods to maintain product standards.
