Project Supervisor - Locate

Summary/Objective

The Project Supervisor oversees the daily operations of a Utility Locate team, ensuring technicians work safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production goals. This role is responsible for providing the crew with proper equipment, resources, and training while maintaining accurate documentation of project equipment & inventory. The Supervisor monitors technician performance and ensures steady workflow planning to keep the team productive. The Supervisor supports and works closely with the Project Manager to maintain smooth project coordination and operational excellence.

- Ensure all project needs, including equipment, supplies, and logistical requirements, are properly prepared and in place.

- Maintain accurate records for project equipment and manage inventory accordingly.

- Supervise the daily operations of the project team, including staff, production, and equipment usage.

- Identify and resolve gaps between production actuals and forecasted goals

- Ensure Field Technicians have a steady flow of assigned work by planning maps, areas, and equipment needs.

- Provide training to Field Technicians as needed, identify ongoing training needs, and address knowledge gaps as the project progresses.

- Hold weekly safety meetings and perform routine safety audits

- Enforce all company safety policies and procedures consistently and effectively.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Hours will vary based on client expectation and work availability. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Up to 10% travel is expected for this position.

Work Environment

The job requires 75% time in the field working in a variety of weather conditions and varying terrain. 25% time requires in office administrative work. .

Physical Requirements

This position requires occasional lifting of materials and equipment up to 50lbs. Also kneeling, bending, crouching, standing and walking for long periods of time

Qualifications

- Previous Utility Locate experience is a plus

- Familiarity in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, & SharePoint

- Ability to adopt new technologies

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Valid driver's license

- Ability to undergo a full background check and drug screen

Education and Experience

- High School diploma or equivalent required.

- At least 1 year of utility locate experience
