Outage / Turnaround Project Scheduler – Contract
Nelpro Project Solutions is seeking an experienced Outage/Turnaround Project Scheduler for an immediate contract opportunity based in Lakeland, Florida. The preferred candidate will bring a combination of expert scheduling software skills and hands-on field experience in chemical processing or power generation facilities.
The Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing critical path method (CPM) schedules for planned and forced outage/turnaround projects. Work will be performed in direct collaboration with client management teams throughout all project phases—planning, execution, and closeout. Assignments are project-based (initially 2–3 months) with the potential for future opportunities on a contract-to-contract basis.
- Build, update, and manage detailed outage/turnaround project schedules
- Coordinate sequencing of work with client management, engineers, and contractors
- Track progress, analyze schedule impacts, and provide updates to stakeholders
- Conduct critical path analysis, resource planning, and prepare schedule reports
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project (required)
- Scheduling experience in chemical manufacturing facilities (preferred)
- Power generation outage scheduling experience will also be considered
- 10+ years of experience in industrial sectors such as power generation, chemical processing, manufacturing, or facility maintenance (preferred)- PMP certification and/or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field (preferred but not required)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Work environment will include both office settings and on-site at client facilities
- Overtime may be required during execution phases
