The Project Procurement & Contract Manager will lead and assume responsibility to establish and professionalize Procurement and Contract Management activities within Projects in Ductor and support the Project Development & Execution Team in its objective to execute projects in a systematic and efficient manner, by applying best and appropriate project execution approaches for effective deliveries in time, quality and budget for the Ductor anaerobic digestion and sustainable/organic fertilizer production projects on DBOO (Design, Build, Own, Operate) basis in USA.
The Project Procurement & Contract Manager is managing the Procurement and Contracts of the projects and responsible for systematically evaluating, selecting, and contracting of strategic supplier and partners as EPC, EPCM, DB and/or GCCM’s for the execution of the biogas projects in USA. The Project Procurement & Contract Manager is tasked with managing the partners and contracts for Ductor in the projects ready for execution and during execution.
The activities also include the assessment of the local requirements for execution and construction of the biogas facilities and forming relationships with relevant stakeholders.
· Responsible for the oversight of the Project Procurement & Contract Management activities and as such directs and controls the activities and outcomes of more than one major function with significant organization-wide impact.
· Preparation of Advance Purchase plan for Procurement of Systems and complete EPC, EPCM, DB and GCCM packages. Listing out the potential partners and vendors and coordinating with the partners/vendors about availability of resources and supply of systems. Obtaining quotes, co-negotiating prices, placing orders, tracking deliveries and business reporting.
· Partner/vendor development and finalization of partner/vendor list division of works and division of responsibilities (DOW/DOR) for the projects to be executed in proactive interaction with Project Directors for finalization of project specific delivery. Negotiation for finalization of purchase orders contracts as lead member of the Purchase Committee.
· Initiates and implements cost reduction concepts, approaches and ideas in system and complete EPC, EPCM, DB and GCCM procurement. Maintaining Project procurement reports and vendor/partner management.
· Knowledge of market conditions, import export, taxation and familiarization with procurement for industrial systems and civil and construction packages including structural, mechanical, electrical and C&I packages of large projects. Knowledge of procurement of various engineered systems and equipment related to energy generation including global sourcing.
· Ensure continuous compliance and implementation of QMS measures for SCM periodic review of safety and statutory requirements and proper incorporation of the clauses in the purchase orders contracts.
· Leads/supports vendor/partner business reviews and driving vendor/partner performance improvements.
· Leads/supports supply agreement negotiations in achieving favorable terms that mitigate business risks, reduce system and project cost and resulting in total cost saving strategies.
· Supports the project development & execution team on projects and contracts which are in line with Ductor’s corporate strategy and economic targets specifically as DBOO solutions.
· Works closely with engineering and operation on technical specifications and partner/vendor approval process.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships across Ductor’s project development and management teams, as well as execution partners, vendors, advisors, consultants, during the entire project development and execution cycle.
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred (6+ years’ relevant industry experience will be considered in lieu of degree) procurement, contract management, project development, operations management, proposal management, project execution or engineering on medium to large scale energy-based construction projects or DBOO projects.
· Successful experience in a supply chain management/procurement/contract management/project execution role with technical education/aptitude in a related business.
· An understanding of and above-average interest in Renewable Energy, Recycling regulations is a big plus.
· Demonstrated experience in procurement management, contract management, project execution strategies and practices that have been implemented successfully.
· In-depth understanding of commercial and contractual concepts applied in the delivery of construction projects preferably involving multiple stakeholders, special purpose companies, consortia approaches, across all forms of project development structures.
· Exceptional communication abilities and strong negotiating skills, with a demonstrable track record of building up solid project execution structures and setups in a competitive marketplace.
· Good knowledge of technical processes or products applied in energy-from-waste or power plants or anaerobic digestion plants or similar industries.
· Good understanding of the capital cost and operational cost of energy-based construction projects.
· Strength in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to work in multiple deals and projects
· Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal), other languages such as German, Finish, Spanish are welcome.

· Ability to work independently and in a lean, agile and striving organization.
This role will require work in the office, work from home and travel in excess of 20-50 % depending on the status and maturity of the projects in development and execution.
