Project Manager – Industrial Outage & Capital Projects

About the role

Nelpro Project Solutions is a consulting firm specializing in industrial turnaround and outage planning. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support an upcoming plant outage at a large roofing and building materials manufacturing facility in Myerstown, PA. This role will lead planning and execution of the outage, managing scope, schedule, budget, and contractor performance to ensure a safe, efficient, and on-time restart.

Key responsibilities

- Plan and manage a plant outage including equipment inspections, repairs, tie-ins, and capital upgrades.

- Aid in development and control detailed schedules (Primavera P6 or MS Project), track progress, and adjust as needed.

- Oversee contractors and vendors during shutdown work to maintain safety and schedule compliance.

- Coordinate with client engineering, reliability, and operations teams to align priorities and minimize downtime.

- Manage scope definition, bid packages, and contractor selection/oversight.

- Lead daily outage coordination meetings and report status to client leadership.

- Ensure site safety standards (OSHA, LOTO, hot work, confined space) and ensure compliance with facility EHS requirements.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of project management experience with industrial outages, turnarounds, or capital projects.

- Proficiency with Primavera P6 or MS Project.

- Strong contractor management and field coordination skills.

- Knowledge of industrial safety and environmental regulations.

- Excellent communication and leadership abilities in a fast-paced shutdown environment.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in roofing, asphalt, or building materials manufacturing.

- Engineering or construction management background

- Cost control and forecasting skills for outage work.

Contract details

- Expected duration: Start immediately and continue through mid-December 2025, with potential for early completion, extension, or additional work based on client needs.

- Hours: Typically, Monday–Friday, 40–60 hrs/week; overtime and weekend work may be required during critical outage periods.

- Pay: Competitive (W-2) Rate commensurate with experience.

This is a project-based contract through Nelpro Project Solutions. Actual duration may vary depending on site needs, performance, and project scope changes.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
