www.erthos.com .We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead the on-site execution of utility-scale solar EPC projects. In this role, you will oversee cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the company’s established practices and procedures, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, profitability, and client satisfaction. This position specifically involves managing large-scale solar power projects across the United States utilizing the Erthos Earth Mount Solar PV System.
You will guide a cross-functional team through all phases of the project lifecycle - from initiation and pre-construction through execution and closeout. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong proficiency in core project management disciplines, including scheduling, budgeting, communication, risk management, negotiation, and scope control.
Important Note: As the primary Project Manager overseeing multiple construction sites nationwide, the ability to travel regularly throughout the United States is integral to this position. Candidates should expect and be prepared to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Act as the ‘quarterback’ for a cross functional execution team, working with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage in end-to-end project management, involving contract development, project planning, collaboration with Engineering and Procurement teams, oversight of site installation, and close coordination with the Operations & Maintenance team to ensure reliable power production from day one.
- Ensure comprehensive scope management, guaranteeing that all essential deliverables specified via contractual documents are fully completed to client satisfaction.
- Conduct risk management for the project, which includes planning for potential risks, identifying them, analyzing their impact, strategizing responses, and controlling these risks throughout the project.
- Track and monitor the tasks required to manage the timely completion of the project, engaging in regular schedule updates and the identification and mitigation of potential schedule risks.
- Work in close collaboration with the Erthos team to expertly manage all budget-related aspects of the project. This includes meticulous planning, detailed estimating, careful budgeting, and stringent cost control. The goal is to ensure the successful completion of the project within its designated budget.
- Review and support the processes and activities of the installation contractor to ensure that the project meets or exceeds quality related objectives.
- Ensure efficient and timely management of project information. This includes planning, gathering, creating, distributing, storing, retrieving, and controlling information, as well as monitoring and ultimately overseeing its proper disposition.
- Support the Erthos Supply Chain team as they provide procurement services to the project owner for all major equipment (modules, transformers, inverters, AC switchgear).
- Support the Erthos Supply Chain team as they price and procure the Erthos ErthGear products – effectively all components on the ‘DC’ side of the solar PV power plant.
- Identify all people or organizations impacted by the project, analyzing stakeholder expectations and impact on the project, and developing appropriate management strategies for effectively engaging stakeholders in project decisions and execution.
- Ensure projects abide by all environmental safety awareness and compliance.
- Ensure the well-being of yourself and others, as well as those potentially impacted by the daily tasks of this role, by personally taking responsibility for safety measures at job sites.
- Provide management and oversight of 3-5 projects at any given time.
- Bachelor's degree (BS) from a four-year college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three years, but ideally 5-10 years of construction industry experience in construction techniques, estimating and construction management.
- PM experience within the solar PV and/or renewable energy industries is HIGHLY desirable.
- PMP Certification is desirable.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required; knowledge of MS Project preferred.
- Experience utilizing Procore is highly desirable.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret blueprints, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts, and governmental regulations.
Candidates must be willing and able to travel up to 75% of the time, with assignments based on-site project locations throughout the duration of construction. This is a hybrid role requiring regular travel to Erthos construction sites, nationwide, and potentially internationally in the future.
Our base salary will be commensurate with your level of PV solar project management experience. We are targeting a base salary range of $130,000 - $160,000.
