Job Objective:
To develop, manage, and execute crude and NGL capital projects, encompassing front-end engineering design (FEED), detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, while ensuring compliance with technical standards, regulatory requirements, project controls, and cost/schedule objectives.
- Responsible for working across assigned region on all aspects of project development, planning, procurement, and execution.
- Coordinate efforts with Operations, Engineering, Integrity, Land, Environmental and Commercial teams to develop project scope and schedule, prepare estimates and bid packages, perform bid walks, and evaluate bids with project teams.
- Procure materials for projects managed and consider opportunities for cost savings across all ongoing and future projects within the team.
- Responsible for coordination with contractors, utilities, regulators, inspections, interfacing property owners, to complete the project.
- Meet with various local, state, and federal agencies regarding assigned projects as needed.
- Oversee daily construction activities to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to engineering standards. Coordinate Operations personnel and third-party Construction Inspectors, and perform regular site visits to monitor progress, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Develop and implement job plans and follow safe work practices.
- Manage, forecast, and review AFE expenditures to maintain budget discipline and align with project schedules. Monitor cost performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to ensure delivery of expected project economics.
- Maintain a current Vendor and Contractor network, evaluate qualifications, and monitor compliance.
- Manage the project status tracking system for all growth capital projects for the team and ensure timely, weekly reporting on project progress and performance.
- Maintain a forward look on upcoming projects to forecast procurement and contracting needs.
- Must be a problem solver, capable of resolving various issues that will arise during the execution of a project.
- Lead multiple projects in parallel, balancing resources, timelines, and stakeholder coordination to achieve successful delivery.

- Fifteen (15) years minimum oil and gas project management, engineering, and operational experience.
- Broad-based engineering and construction knowledge and proven success in project management.
- Comprehensive understanding of upstream and midstream oil and gas operations, including field production systems and terminal/plant facility processes.
- Ability to make and implement sound decisions when faced with multi-faceted problems.
- Ability to demonstrate strong, dynamic team leadership skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, contractors, officials, and the public.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
- Capability to develop Class I–Class IV capital cost estimates, ranging from conceptual to detailed, in support of project planning and execution
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional and solutions-oriented approach with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to communicate effectively and share ideas.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Ability and willingness to work extended hours as needed.
- Willingness to travel 25% of the time.
- Required: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Proficiency in MS Project or similar project management tools preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited four-year university
- Experience with regulatory agencies (API, ASME, etc.) or active membership/licensure with a professional engineering board is preferred.
