Job Summary: The Project Manager provides the necessary leadership to plan organize, coordinate, and control the Designer/Engineer/Document Control or any other project personnel and equipment to meet continuing growth and profit objectives of the Company. The Project Manager is responsible for the execution of a project and seeing it completed within a given timeline and within budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Accountable for planning, directing and managing project deliverables
- Schedule and coordinate company personnel, subcontract labor, and equipment to achieve revenue and profit goals
- Ensure company objectives for customer satisfaction, safety, quality, production, revenue and profit are met
- Review project estimates and ensure they are complete and accurate
- Contribute to the submittal of documents for approval by the reviewing authority; both within the company and with clients.
- Assist with the review of customer contracts, purchase orders, and work authorizations regarding proposed scope of work, customer expectation, and project objectives.
- Create strong customer relationships and provide follow-up to ensure continuing conformance of projects to all requirements, including customer requirements, testing requirements, cost and profitability requirements, ongoing milestones and project closeout.
- Accountable for project profit and loss; timely billings from customers to ensure profitability and adherence to project accounting guidelines.
- Generate reports for weekly management meetings - and whenever requested by management.
- Ensure all project documentation is in accordance with project requirements and meets the Company's performance standards.
- Actively track and update project costs and match with invoices to accurately reflect the financial performance of the project.
- Assist in the analysis of the monthly job cost report for each project which tracks the man-hours and materials for the project.
- Ensure that vendor invoices are approved in a timely manner to protect the company's reputation.
- Ensure that client invoices are accurately prepared and submitted to protect the company's cash flow.
- Assist in develop, organize and maintain project management specifications/standards by assimilating best operating practices.
- When applicable, perform field visits to assess project quality, crew performance, and adherence to safety requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related field and two years of project management experience in a project management role in the same or similar industry.
