The Project Manager will report to and support the Head of Project Execution to deliver wind, solar, and battery storage projects on schedule and within budget. The Project Manager will focus on identifying and managing project risks, lead efforts to track and reforecast project budgets, provide updates on the overall project economics and provide technical support through late-stage development and construction.
- Oversee day to day efforts of diverse project teams with a focus on identifying and mitigating cost and schedule risk.
- Implement and improve project management tools that directly impact, and drive business decisions related to the project schedule and budget.
- Responsible for the overall creation, tracking, updating, and reporting of project schedules and progress.
- Coordinate with relevant internal support teams and project analysts to track and complete monthly project budget reforecasts and update project economics.
- Responsible for weekly maintenance and reporting on project progress reports.
- Assist technical team members with evaluating change order claims and proposing a path forward regarding timely responses and settlement.
- Lead project due diligence process for project financing including technical support as well as tracking and closing open items from investors and engineering teams.
- Track project lessons learned and compiling and presenting these to internal stakeholders.
- Engage in RFP process for EPC partner selection and active management of EPC partners for project success.
- Perform project troubleshooting, gap analysis, mitigation of threats, and project milestone timelines on utility-scale renewables projects.
- Direct engagement and management of electric utility counterparts for successful project execution.
- Support CAPEX estimates to aid in project prioritization and selection.
- Lead the transfer of executed and in-serviced project to the Asset Management group.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer. Repsol does not offer sponsorship.
- 4+ years of progressively responsible project management experience in energy or a related industry.
- Proven track record of managing full-life cycle EPC projects in the renewable space at utility scale including management through COD.
- Knowledgeable in high level technical project management initiatives such as defining scopes, contractor evaluation/selection, financials, schedules, estimates, contracts, constructability design reviews.
- Conversant in both technical and commercial parts of major equipment, engineering, and pre-construction, construction, commissioning, and energization processes, specifically around solar and battery storage.
- Experience leading late-stage development of energy projects including permitting, land and interconnection and supporting project team efforts through construction.
- Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred.
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred.
- Electrical or Civil Structural degrees highly desired.
- Understanding of utility interconnection requirements which includes familiarity with FERC rules, ISO tariffs, and other interconnection requirements as needed.
