Project Manager

AES Consulting Engineers is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer / Project Manager. Initially as a Project Manager, this role will be responsible for managing a small team in land development design to include client development, preparation of proposals, client communication and management, contract management, preparation of construction plans, preparation/review of specifications, preparation/review of design calculations, construction administration, E&S plans, utility layout, stormwater management design, site grading, and other duties as assigned.

There is a path and potential for this role, under mentorship of the current Office Manager, to transition to Office Manager duties. This would include the management of a 15-person office to include civil site engineering, in-house land surveying, administrative staff, office financials, and contributing to overall company management via addition to the overall Operations Management Team. Salary and benefits to evolve commensurate with advancing job duties.

Preferred: Current/recent proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Required: VA Licensed Professional Engineer – P.E., Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, or equivalents; 7+ years of experience in land development & public works projects; supporting teams for subdivisions, site plans and rezonings, managing engineering design teams, and developing client relationships.
