Key Business Objectives:

The Project Manager – Fleet Equipment participates in the planning and execution of activities related to managing heavy equipment movement within the fleet. This position reports to the Director – Engineering & Fleet and works closely with the Engineering, Make Ready, Field Operations and Sales management teams. This role is responsible for the development and maintenance of heavy equipment standards and procedures, including maintenance plans. This role is vital to supporting fleet and regional activities related to engines and compressors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•

Effectively and timely manage heavy equipment projects as assigned throughout the year, including cost management of this equipment.

•

Maintain the fleet Data Base with current and accurate equipment data.

•

Track manufacturer updates to packages, as needed.

•

On a quarterly basis, coordinate with regional operations to understand needs and discuss performance of engine and compressor support.

•

Save and prioritize topics for possible inclusion into Operations and Maintenance Manual or consideration by Fleet and Regional management.

•

On an annual basis, update the Operations and Maintenance Manual.

•

Assist with and support the company’s root cause failure analysis program.

•

Manage and liaison with engine and compression vendors including vendor accounts and company agreements.

•

Distribute maintenance program updates to field personnel.

•

Track maintenance statistics and prepare reports for dissemination across the company.

•

Participate in safety training programs and contribute to continuous improvement of safety guidelines.

•

Attend in-person safety meetings and keep current on company safety requirements (monthly/quarterly).

•

Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Skills/Capabilities and Education:

•

Minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience.

•

Minimum of 5 years of engine and compressor operating experience, focusing on Caterpillar, Waukesha, and Ariel OEM’s.

•

Experience in natural gas compression industry preferred.

•

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with good Excel skills.

•

Exceptional written and oral communication skills including leading management level meetings.

•

Demonstrate skills in problem solving.

•

Possess qualities such as dependability, adaptability, persistence, and resilience.

•

Willing to function as a member of a group that gathers and analyzes information as part of a problem-solving process.

•

Team player who is detail-oriented and efficient, innovative, professional, and personable.

•

Ability and desire to fully utilize the technological resources provided, in order to perform all tasks effectively.

•

•

Ability to understand written and verbal communication from the company and supervisor including training, procedures, instructions, etc.

Applicant must have the ability to legally work in the U.S.

Working Conditions:

•

The employee spends the majority of time sitting or standing in a comfortable position with ample opportunity to move about.

•

The employee must be able to lift up to 25lbs.

•

Travel is required and is expected to be approximately 25 - 30% of the time worked.

•

Employee will be a member of a team that is geographically dispersed.

•

Working conditions in natural gas compression vary from one job site to another. Some job sites are indoors in compressor stations while other sites are outside, exposed to a variety of weather conditions. The work environment may be in hazardous locations. There is a strong emphasis on safety while working with heavy equipment and machinery.
