Project Manager 1 - Capital Coordinator Northern Interior
Number of positions: 1 Job Location: Prince George

Annual salary: $ 107,000.00 - 135,300.00
What you'll do
•Acts as the initial point of contact for all capital projects and programs impacting substations and generating stations.
Provides guidance and support to project managers and/or work package managers requiring SFO resources and/or
outages.
•Ensures project and program managers provide a clear scope of work for their project and are aware of their project’s
impacts to the power system.
•Facilitates project requests for SFO resources and completes initial screening of resource requests for accuracy.
•Works with project managers and work package managers to improve accuracy in forecasting SFO resource
requirements.
•Screens for project readiness (such as outage requirements, drawings, MRS applicability, etc.)
•Ensures coordination between projects within a station or area.
•Ensures SFO has visibility of all projects impacting each station within the role’s coverage area.
•Acts as the key point of contact for SFO staff seeking information on capital projects and programs.
•Ensures all known PD and PCM project and programs are included in the Stations Annual Work and Outage Plan.
•Utilizes computer-based applications and databases to capture and consolidate all project information and requests.
•Liaise between various business groups and stakeholders to ensure project visibility, communication, and coordination.
(Project Delivery, Construction Management, PCM, SFO, P&S)
•Facilitates meetings, discussions, and presentations regarding project scope, timing, resource, and outage requirements.
What you bring
•Engineering degree, technical diploma, or journey level trade certification.
•Six plus (6+) years of experience in project management or capital construction in a utility environment. Candidates with
considerable maintenance and operations experience within an electrical utility will also be considered.
•Excellent knowledge of activities and resources required to complete capital construction projects for an electric utility.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Experience facilitating meetings is an asset.
•Proficient in SAP, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, and Outlook.
•Experience identifying and implementing process improvements considered an asset.
•Ability to process and organize large amounts of information is an asset.

Driver's License Type = Class 5
Work location for this position is flexible depending on workspace availability.
This position is for the Northern Interior but may cover other regions as required.
Occasional travel is required which may require overnight stays.
