About the Role:

The primary focus of this role is to coordinate the safe execution of capital maintenance, right-of-way repairs and maintenance, and operational projects within the Prairie Region. Projects include electrical and mechanical equipment repair and/or replacement, annual tank inspection and maintenance, earthworks and civil repair, as well as support for environmental drilling and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Engineering:

- Finalize project design and scope, leveraging technical expertise to ensure compliance with Enbridge standards and adequate risk mitigation.

- Develop requests for proposals and evaluate consultant qualifications as required.

- Facilitate and participate in design reviews with stakeholders and manage change effectively.

- Review critical operation plans, including isolation, inspection, and test plans.

- Address safety and operability concerns through engineering practices.

- Ensure proper engineering documentation is developed and submitted for project execution.

- Approve Alternate Isolation job plans per Enbridge’s Safe Work Isolation policy.

Project Execution:

- Provide input into the preparation of regional operating and capital projects.

- Determine resource requirements and identify key stakeholders.

- Develop execution schedules, identifying key milestones and aligning with existing outages.

- Identify risks and corresponding mitigation plans; finalize permits and regulatory applications.

- Lead the selection of resources required to accomplish project scope.

- Establish purchase orders and procure materials and services as needed.

- Collaborate with regional personnel and contractors to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

- Develop job and work plans to ensure successful and safe execution.

- Ensure quality documentation (technical records and drawings) is produced in accordance with Enbridge Standards and turned over to Asset Information Management.

- Ensure constructed and repaired assets meet project sponsor and operational requirements.

- Complete all aspects of project closure as per Prairie Region’s Project Lifecycle Process.

Scope:

- Design and execute capital and operational project scopes to ensure operational reliability and safety.

- Provide input into the preparation of regional operating and capital projects.

- Develop technical solutions to operational and maintenance issues identified within capital and operational projects.

- Ensure compliance with all Enbridge and regulatory requirements pertaining to health, safety, and environment.

- Provide monthly updates of project status and developments to management.
