Project Engineer/Project Coordinator

New Gold is a Canadian-focused intermediate gold mining company engaged in the operation, development and exploration of mineral properties. New Afton is situated 10 kilometers west of Kamloops, British Columbia, the New Afton Mine is an underground gold and copper producing site.

Position Reports To: Project Lead

Position Overview

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including contractors, consultants, technical services, and mining operations, to ensure successful project delivery while adhering to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be assigned to sustaining and/or non-sustaining capital projects as required by business needs. Projects may include site operational and maintenance improvement projects, tailings, mill, and/or underground projects.

Compensation

The anticipated salary for this position will be between $85,000 and $110,000. A comprehensive benefits program and performance bonus plan will also be provided. This is not a camp operation and therefore the successful candidate will be required to relocate to the Kamloops area or travel and accommodation will be the responsibility of the successful applicant.
