What You Will Do

- Lead and/or support as appropriate the origination, qualification, and development of greenfield opportunities, including solar, wind and storage projects.

- Build and support development strategies and lead in their execution.

- Conduct preliminary feasibility assessments, including site evaluation and resource and regulatory analysis to determine project viability and potential risks.

- Support site control negotiations with landowners, including leases, easements and mineral rights waivers for all vital project real estate rights to construct and operate renewable projects.

- Support the permitting process by coordinating with regulatory authorities, preparing permit applications, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations to attain all necessary approvals.

- Maintain positive relationships with landowners, local communities, government agencies, and other partners to facilitate project development and address any concerns.

- Travel up to 50%.

Who You Are

- You possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as real estate, engineering, environmental sciences, business administration, or a related field.

- 7 years or more experience in renewable energy project development. Experience with utility-scale project development is highly desirable.

- Proficiency in project management tools and GIS software is an asset.

- A proactive and entrepreneurial demeanor with a passion for sustainability and the renewable energy industry.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.

- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, market dynamics, and early understanding of regulatory frameworks.

Physical Requirements

Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, prioritize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, coordinate and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
