Job Summary
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to serve as the financial architect and steward of a complex, multi-year portfolio of strategic technology initiatives. You will provide comprehensive financial oversight and governance across large-scale transformational programs, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership while ensuring disciplined budget management, rigorous controls, and audit-ready documentation. In this role, you will consolidate financial data across multiple workstreams, deliver actionable insights that drive critical investment decisions, and maintain the financial integrity of initiatives that are foundational to the organization's future. You will lead a team of financial analysts, partner closely with program leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, and play a central role in keeping transformational efforts on scope, schedule, and budget.
Responsibilities
- Establish and enforce internal financial controls across programs and workstreams to ensure compliance and accountability
- Build and maintain integrated portfolio budgets and rolling forecasts that reflect current and projected financial positions
- Monitor financial baselines and manage funding decisions, change requests, and capital allocation processes
- Lead month-end close activities with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and full audit readiness
- Deliver comprehensive leadership reporting including budget versus actuals, run-rate analysis, contingency tracking, and benefits progress
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to inform investment decisions, scope adjustments, and timing considerations
- Partner with Procurement on vendor financials, contract adherence, and sourcing strategies
- Align with Corporate Finance and Controllership on accounting treatment, capitalization policies, and reporting standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of financial analysts to build capability and ensure high-quality deliverables
- Set quality standards and continuously improve financial management practices and processes
- Manage baseline adjustments and change control processes to maintain financial discipline
- Prepare and deliver financial insights and recommendations to program leadership and senior stakeholders
- Maintain and refine audit-ready financial documentation and supporting materials
- Coach team members on technical skills, stakeholder engagement, and professional development
- Advanced financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Financial governance and controls across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Change control and baseline management for large transformation initiatives
- Month-end close processes and audit-ready documentation preparation
- Stakeholder influence and senior leadership engagement
- People leadership including team oversight, coaching, and quality management
- Scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis
- Contract and vendor financial management

- Five to seven or more years of experience in financial management roles with increasing responsibility
- Hands-on experience with ERP-led transformations and multi-vendor portfolio management
- Proven track record managing financial governance across complex, multi-workstream initiatives
- Direct experience with month-end close and audit preparation in a corporate environment
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive financial outcomes
- Previous people leadership experience including team management and development
- Experience in regulated or asset-intensive industries such as utility, energy, or infrastructure is preferred
- Prior involvement in transformational programs exceeding one hundred million dollars is preferred
- Hands-on experience with benefits realization or value tracking is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or MBA is preferred
