We are seeking a motivated and experienced Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day execution of a utility-sponsored energy efficiency program in Georgia. This role requires a balance of strategic leadership, operational oversight, and client/stakeholder management. The Program Manager will lead a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality results, drive program participation, and ensure compliance with utility and regulatory requirements.
This position is ideal for a candidate with proven program management experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for advancing energy efficiency and clean energy adoption.
- Lead execution of all aspects of a utility-sponsored energy efficiency program, ensuring delivery against client goals and contractual obligations.
- Oversee program operations, including contractor engagement, customer participation, field service delivery, field quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), and incentive processing.
- Manage program budgets, forecasts, timelines, and reporting to ensure cost-effective delivery and achievement of annual savings targets.
- Collaborate with utility clients, regulators, and internal leadership to align goals, performance metrics, and reporting requirements.
- Manage and mentor a team of program staff, including account managers, coordinators, and QA/QC field technicians.
- Serve as the primary liaison between contractors, trade allies, and program stakeholders; provide training, support, and performance guidance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the program team.
- Develop and maintain processes, workflows, and systems to streamline operations and maximize program effectiveness.
- Ensure accurate tracking of program participation, contractor compliance, and field verification activities.
- Produce client-ready reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate program performance and recommend improvements.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement to increase customer participation and enhance contractor performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, environmental science, public policy, or related field.
- 5+ years of program management or operations management experience- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading cross-functional or field/office-based teams.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships, budgets, timelines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead stakeholder meetings and deliver clear updates.
- Proficiency in project management and reporting tools (CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Pipedrive preferred).
- Experience working with energy efficiency programs, HVAC contractors, building performance professionals, or rebate/incentive programs.
- Knowledge of utility regulatory environments, energy rebate programs, or Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) funding mechanisms.
- Familiarity with data analysis, performance tracking, and quality assurance processes.
- Six Sigma, PMP, or related certification a plus.
