The Production Support Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting sales interactions, manufacturing processes, drafting, and general production tasks related to the Advanced Processing Team. Reporting to the R&D Engineering Manager, this role requires strong leadership and communication skills, teamwork, continuous improvement and innovation to maximize profitability of the company. The PSET must be detail oriented, capable of taking direction, and utilizing lean methodology to streamline existing processes.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:
- Be a hands-on solution provider
- Create quote packages for incoming work for the Advanced Process area.
- Learn specialized manufacturing processes and work alongside manufacturing personnel to produce product.
- Communicate SOP changes and requirements to the Process Engineering team.
- Provide drafting support using SolidWorks and Draftsight.
- Utilize CAM software as needed to support Engineering, Production, and the Commercial teams.
- Apply lean methodology to improve department efficiency.
- Self-starter who can identify company priorities and work with little oversight.
- Consistent high performer with demonstrated leadership capabilities with ability to work in a team environment.
- Holds themselves and team members accountable for a high level of performance.
- Familiar with product assessment and inspection processes as well as gauging.
- Exhibits knowledge of manufacturing processes with mechanical inclination.
- Pays close attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to acquire, assimilate, and analyze data from multiple systems and data sources using a variety of business intelligence and reporting tools. Ability to put structure and discipline around defined processes.

- Associate's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Strong mechanical knowledge of part layouts (metrology), GD&T
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
