PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
•
Supervises staff to produce manufactured products and organizes and monitors workflow.
•
Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
•
Trains and mentors employees.
•
Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
•
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing production standards.
•
Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs as needed.
•
Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
•
Maintains working relationship with union members and representatives by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
•
Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.
•
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
•
Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance Policy (applicable section 2.1-2.4) along with other applicable company policies.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
•
High school diploma, BS in engineering a plus
•
2-3 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
•
Prior supervisory experience
•
OSHA Safety certification
Physical Demands:
•
Ability to lift product and other objects weighing 10lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occassionally
•
Endure continuous standing and walking
•
Have good peripheral vision, color discrimination, and depth perception.
•
Provide assistance to others in moving heavier or bulky objects.
•
Endure intermittent climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing and pulling.
•
Function in workplace environmental conditions including, but not limited to, cold, heat, bright sun, noise, and nuisance dusts.
•
Able to work closely with others and individually
