I. Position Description
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and supervise the production floor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Plan and implement equipment and procedures to improve efficiency of operations (SWI’s)
•Interprets and administers company policies, rules, and regulations to department personnel
•Assign, direct, and monitor production processes and personnel.
•Supervise production activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of completed products.
•Direct day to day activities of maintenance personnel.
•Inspects and ensures product meets customer requirements
•Ensure production compliance with Quality and EHS policies
•Support purchasing requisitions for production needs
•SAP-create BOMs (building of Materials), production order entry, Inventory functions
•Serve as Lean Team Member
•Support ISO 14001/ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 program standards, company wide
•Adhere to all hazardous waste practices as reflected in the annual training
II. Pre-Hire Requirements:
•2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
•High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
•Read, write, and speak English
III. Post-Hire Training Requirements:
•Safety Training for applicable equipment
•Quality system familiarization-ISO 9001 Objectives, Policies, and Procedures
•ISO 14001 familiarization, significant environmental aspects, EMS program Objectives and Targets
•ISO 45001 familiarization, hazards and risks, program objectives, goals, Policies, and Procedures
•Attain OSHA 30 Hour credentials
•Environmental training applicable to the job
IV. Physical Requirements & Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, tightening and loosening grip or feel objects, tools, or controls; gripping and twist on the hands and wrist to tighten clamps by hand repetitively and relieve the tighten clam by hand and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee continually works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.
