Position Summary
S3 is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Production Supervisor to lead operations at our client's central production facility. This location serves as the hub for all of their retail and route stores, making it a critical part of their success. The Production Supervisor plays a key role in driving productivity, maintaining quality standards, and building a strong team culture in a challenging but rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead and Develop the Production Team: Provide clear direction and coaching to team leads and production staff across all departments — including pressing, spotting, assembly, and packaging.
•Drive Performance and Efficiency: Ensure the plant meets or exceeds key performance indicators (KPIs), with a strong focus on reaching an overall labor percentage target.
•Support Individual Goals: Help team members in each department achieve their individual targets, which vary by role. Use real-time feedback, coaching, and performance tracking to foster success.
•Foster a Positive Work Culture: Motivate and engage team members in a physically demanding environment — early morning hours, hot summer conditions, and standing throughout the day are part of the job. Your leadership sets the tone.
•Manage Workflow and Scheduling: Monitor and adjust daily production flow to ensure timely, accurate processing while maximizing efficiency.
•Maintain Quality Standards: Uphold high standards for care and finishing across all customer orders.
•Solve Problems Quickly: Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, equipment issues, and personnel challenges with professionalism and urgency.
•Ensure Safety and Organization: Promote a safe, clean, and well-organized workplace by enforcing all safety protocols and best practices.
Note: Detailed performance expectations related to equipment maintenance, plant KPIs, and bonus eligibility are outlined separately in the Production Manager Performance Plan.
