This position is responsible to generate the production schedule, oversee production and inventory within an ERP system, and provide lead times and ship dates for customer orders.
1. Responsible for performing job duties in a safe and conscientious manner, following all procedures, programs, and policies established for specific department and calling attention to any unsafe acts observed in the work of others.
2. Establishes and maintains a productive working relationship with the Steward team.
3. Work with Engineering and Production team to generate and update the weekly production schedule while maintaining on-time customer orders.
4. Update and improve Steward’s long-term production schedule.
5. Create production jobs within Steward’s ERP system that satisfy the production schedule.
6. Complete a reoccurring physical inventory count, and reconcile the physical inventory with Steward’s ERP system to maintain accurate inventory.
7. Respond in a timely fashion to provide lead times and ship dates to the Sales team for new customer orders.
8. Prepare for and participate on site inventory audits.
9. Back up support for Shipping and Receiving.
11. Work close with Production Supervisor to ensure staff coverage on of product runs.
2. Ability to safely operate a fork lift.
3. Ability to lift 50 lbs. on occasion.
4. Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and inventory management system.
5. Superior communication (oral and written), interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
1. Associate degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
2. 2 years purchasing experience in manufacturing facility preferred. Overall experience in manufacturing facility may be considered in lieu of direct purchasing experience.
