Vorteq's Operations Support staff is a vital part to the overall operations to the plant - assisting with and assigned to work in various areas of the plant, including; coating lines, slitting, material handling, and packaging. Responsibilities•Retrieves and transport bare coils to paint line safely without damaging material or equipment
•Inspects coils and identifies and reports any defects
•Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse to maintain inventory
•Reads and interprets production schedule
•Prepare finished coils for shipment by identifying location to pull, trim, package and band according to customer specs using proper skids, bands, pads, and wrapping material
•Comply with all safety rules and guidelines
Qualifications
•1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience operating material handling equipment preferred
•Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and lift heavy materials up to & over 50lbs
•Function successfully in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
•Contribute to team efforts by communicating and working well with others
•Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
•Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
•Must have VALID drivers license and RELIABLE transportation
Schedule
Training will take place on 1st Shift and lasts from 2 to 3 weeks, depending on experience. Once fully trained you will transition to 3rd shift.
