Job Overview : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Engineer to join our Midland-based operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing well performance, overseeing artificial lift systems, managing workover planning, and providing multidisciplinary support to ensure safe, efficient, and cost effective production operations. This role requires collaboration with field operations and cross-functional teams including engineers, geologists, land, regulatory, environment and accounting personnel.
•Perform daily well performance monitoring and production surveillance.
•Design, optimize and troubleshoot artificial lift systems (primarily ESP, gas lift and rod pump).
•Prepare and track Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) budgets for well interventions and projects, both expense and capital.
•Develop work-over procedures and provide on-site/remote engineering support during execution.
•Manage flow-back operations to ensure safe and optimized early life production.
•Evaluate lease operating cost, and make recommendations on cost optimizing opportunities.
•Provide engineering support to field operations personnel and troubleshoot field level production and operational issues.
•Collaborate across disciplines to support field development plans and ongoing operations.
•Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineer or related engineering discipline.
•5+ years of production engineering experience, preferably in the Delaware Basin.
•Strong working knowledge of artificial lift design/optimization, AFE budgeting & tracking, SCADA operations, production chemical, surface facility operations and workover.
•Proficiency in production engineering software such as Quorum, Pump Checker, Ignition, Petrosight, PowerBI and Microsoft Suite.
•Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced team environment.
