POSITION SUMMARY: The Staff Production Engineer will provide leadership and hands-on engineering support to Production and Production Engineering teams, focusing on well performance monitoring and field activities such as well completions, workover operations, and artificial lift. The role involves offering expertise from reservoir to separator, maximizing production, and solving production issues related to technologies used in plumbing, including injections, tubing, trees, and manifolds.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Monitor performance of wells within assigned areas of responsibility.
•Provide technical support to field operations personnel within assigned area of responsibility.
•Optimize well performance using system analysis skills and software following company drawdown limits.
•Review and evaluate production reports to determine any flow assurance issues and correct as necessary.
•Evaluate well tests to determine opportunities to optimize production by making choke changes and identify stimulation and remediation opportunities.
•Review and distribute workover and recompletion reports for accuracy, cost management and regulatory compliance.
•Work in conjunction with technical team and offshore operations personnel to set and achieve HSE, production, LOE and reserve replacement targets identified by management.
•Develop engineered work programs to achieve targeted improvements while complying with company safety, environmental and health best practices.
•Implement well work as necessary, including recompletions, stimulations, gas lift optimization, etc. using sound engineering practices and problem-solving skills. Manage these operations for technical sound and cost control.
•Strong commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental and Regulatory compliance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER WORK REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering or a related discipline is required.
•Minimum 5 years’ upstream oil and gas experience in production, facilities, or automation engineering
•15+ years of experience in an oilfield production and completion environment with a high level of understanding in an offshore setting preferred
•Experience with SCADA systems (CygNet, Iconics) and OSI PI
•Experience with databases and SQL Syntax
•Broad based and well-developed subsurface production engineering knowledge.
•Basic understanding of production facility equipment operations and automation concepts and their practical implementation
•Good understanding of related disciplines including Geology, Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering, Drilling and Economics.
•Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
•Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information
•Strong advocate for the 'team' concept, with proven leadership abilities and a track record of effective team collaboration
•Strong technical writing and oral presentation skills in front of varying audiences from technicians to C-Suite, Board of Directors
•Knowledge of health, environmental and safety is the best practices.
•Familiarity with the following databases and systems: Rio, Carte, OSS, Harmony, PI, KBC, ARIES
•Ability to manipulate large amounts of data quickly from multiple data sources with a variety of tools
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
•Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
•Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
