Analyzes existing department activities pertaining to customer and processing specifications, quoting of inquiries and scheduling of new orders while taking into account order bookings, manufacturing load and capabilities, and material availability based on established rules and operating schedules at all divisions. Will work closely with the ERW welding department.
Edits incoming orders for special processing requirements and specification detail. Determines and applies proper coding to order for manufacture in specific plant or department or to select proper process routine.
Analyzes established inventory control system for mortgaging orders against stocks on hand, monitoring stock balances, and assist in scheduling replenishing stock when required based on usage and authorized stock levels.
Analyzes requests for order changes or revisions, determine proper action to be taken, initiate any action that may be required and communicate response to requests to those concerned.
Analyzes production loads for each department in order to schedule manufacturing of orders.
Adjusts the production schedule when necessary due to equipment breakdowns, order revisions, crew scheduling, etc.
Analyzes order processing and adjust scheduling when necessary to insure shipment of orders on time. Follows through, when necessary, and contact operating departments to resolve scheduling on processing problems.
Communicates with other departments and divisions when necessary: IS, Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Accounting.
Furnishes status of orders in process to various persons requesting such information.
Initiates in inputting and maintenance of existing mainframe and department programs along with assisting in the development of new applications.
Assists with department personnel in reviewing and improving present practices and procedures.
Assists in quoting inquiries, scheduling new orders and weld mill scheduling.

High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three years of related experience or must have business or technical degree.

Other Skills and Abilities: Must be computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, etc., and be able to learn and use HP programs such as e-mail, established programs, etc.
