About the Role
We are seeking an experienced product manager to join our team. This role will include research, design, sales support, prototyping, product and manufacturing qualification, BOM & data sheets development and product compliance management.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, R&D, engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure that products are designed, developed, and manufactured efficiently to meet customer requirements, quality standards, and our ambitious business goals.
What You’ll Do
Research:
•Collaborate with internal teams to gather technical insights and requirements for new product development.
•Stay up to date with industry advancements, materials, and technologies to integrate into product designs.
•Perform feasibility studies to evaluate potential innovations and improvements in existing products.
•Collect and analyze user feedback to inform design modifications and future iterations.
Design/Drafting:
•Understand and where required create detailed models and technical drawings for products and components.
•Develop design specifications and prototypes based on technical specifications on existing products.
•Apply engineering principles to design cost-effective, manufacturable, and high-performance products.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet safety, aesthetic, and functional standards.
•Revise and update design drawings based on engineering changes, feedback, and testing results.
Prototyping:
•Lead the creation of prototypes, working closely with manufacturing teams to bring concepts to life.
•Select appropriate materials and manufacturing techniques for prototype fabrication.
•Test prototypes for performance, durability, and safety, documenting results to inform design decisions.
•Manage prototype iteration cycles, implementing changes based on testing and analysis.
•Collaborate with R&D and production teams to ensure that prototypes align with project goals and timelines.
Product and Manufacturing Qualification:
•Oversee the qualification process, ensuring compliance with internal standards and industry regulations.
•Coordinate testing and validation procedures, including reliability and performance testing.
•Work closely with manufacturers to verify production processes, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency.
•Manage the transition from prototype to production, ensuring all required certifications and tests are completed.
•Document qualification results and implement corrective actions as needed to meet product specifications.
BOM & Data Sheet Development:
•Develop and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for each product, including components, subassemblies, and raw materials.
•Ensure BOMs reflect the most current design and manufacturing changes, optimizing cost and supply chain efficiency.
•Support the production and assembly teams by providing up to date BOMs and technical documentation
Product Compliance Management:
•Monitor and ensure product compliance with local, regional, and international regulations.
•Coordinate compliance testing, certification, and documentation to meet regulatory standards.
•Maintain a detailed record of product compliance, including testing reports, certifications, and approvals.
•Collaborate with legal, quality, and regulatory teams to address any non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
•Stay informed on changes to industry regulations and standards to ensure products remain compliant over time
Additional Expectations
•Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
•Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
•Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
•Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You’ll Bring
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management of new and existing product ranges with manifolds, valves or pipe fabrication
•Experience in liquid cooling in data center environments, air handling, mechanical cooling and leak detection systems is preferred.
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Skills:
•Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly, production, and supply chain management
•Experience with product lifecycle management tools and methodologies.
•Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
•Ability to collaborate across departments and work in a team-oriented environment.
•Solid understanding of quality control processes and regulatory requirements
•Proficiency in MS Office Suite and product management software (e.g., Jira, SAP, or similar platforms)
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
•Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams to achieve product goals and objectives.
