Job Overview
The Procurement Analyst is responsible for supporting the procurement team in sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role involves analyzing procurement data, preparing reports, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize procurement processes and drive efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
•Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate market trends.
•Analyze procurement data and prepare reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
•Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies and policies.
•Support the sourcing and negotiation process, including preparing requests for proposals (RFPs) and evaluating supplier bids.
•Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
•Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual terms, identifying areas for improvement.
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
•Assist in the development and management of supplier relationships, including resolving issues and fostering collaboration.
•Prepare and present procurement reports and analyses to management.
•Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all procurement activities.
•Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive procurement efficiencies and cost savings.
Ideal Candidate
•Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, finance, or a related field.
•Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a similar analytical role.
•Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
•Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with procurement software or tools is a plus.
•Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
•Strong organizational and time management skills.
•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Knowledge of procurement best practices and relevant regulations
