Job Summary:
Anodizing Process Engineers are innovators who use data, knowledge of processes and product, observation of techniques and
methods, and input from employees performing work to develop and facilitate improvements to existing processes that will increase
product quality, consistency, and efficiency. The process engineer will be tasked with becoming a process expert through internal
and external trainings and must be knowledgeable of the detailed intricacies involved in Anodizing.
Required Education/Experience:
•Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering.
•5-8 Years of experience in process engineering in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
•3+ years of experience with surface finishing processes (i.e anodizing and /or painting)
•Written and oral fluency in English.
•ASQ Certification. (preferred)
Job Responsibilities:
•Become Technical Process Expert: Always pursues a deeper knowledge of applicable subject matters in area of coverage (Anodizing and Extrusion) in order to drive innovative solutions.
•Identifies Internal Issues: Uses various methods (data review, visual detection, reported complaints/concerns internally) to identify issues in the product and process. Coordinates long or short term resolution as needed utilizing employees involved in the work.
•Analysis of Results: Compile and evaluate test, nonconformance, and/or inspection data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications.
•Leads Improvement Projects: Lead continuous improvement for both small and large scale projects while supporting corrective action implementation.
•Supports Product Dispositioning: Works with employees to ensure suspect material is dispositioned appropriately per internal requirements while discussing the logic behind decisions to TMs. Provides direction.
•Evaluate Capabilities: Ensure processes are capable, have sufficient controls in place, can meet delivery requirements and meet cost targets.
•Production Support: Respond efficiently and effectively to address product quality issues and play an active role in meeting departmental KPIs.
•Change Control: Assist in implementing required process changes to meet all of the above criteria as well as training plant personnel on these procedures and process changes.
•Compliance & Ethical Behavior: Demonstrated high standard for excellence and core belief in quality compliance, accuracy in reporting and ethical behavior within a manufacturing environment (laboratories, in particular).
