Actalent Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for a Process Engineering opening with a materials manufacturer that is located in Glen Rock, PA. This person will be responsible for leading and facilitating activities to increase product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and on-time delivery while promoting safety. Responsibilities shall include identification and implementation of continuous improvement projects, process development support, coordination of maintenance activities, implementation of minor capital projects and NCR root cause investigations.
Below is a summary of responsibilities for this position:
•Promote a safe work environment through review of existing manufacturing practices and implementation of any improvement deemed appropriate by EHS and Manufacturing Supervision.
•Identify and implement continuous improvement projects related to quality and production efficiency.
•Identify and remove barriers to on-time delivery.
•Collaborate and work in conjunction with innovation to develop new products and manufacturing methods.
•Review manufacturing procedures and update as needed to ensure quality and operational compliance.
•Monitor all equipment in the manufacturing area to ensure it is in good working order, coordinating any required correction with maintenance or manufacturing supervision.
•Document internal non-conformances, performing root cause analysis with appropriate corrections
•Provide training and technical support as needed to manufacturing associates.
•Participate in the identification and installation of approved capital projects in the manufacturing area.
•Write change controls, user requirements, functional specifications, equipment and product qualification protocols, validation testing, and technical reports as needed.
•Interface with external equipment vendors, engineering companies, contractors, and customers.
•Represent the organization in a professional and positive manner to associates, external customers, and vendors
Below is a summary of requirements for qualified candidates:
•Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred in an engineering discipline, preferably chemical, mechanical, or equivalent previous experience.
•Minimum of 2-years experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
•Must be flexible to work different shifts as required by assignments
•Computer literacy with good working knowledge in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
•Knowledge of engineering principles, concepts and methodology, and ability to apply them to relevant situations and problem solving
•Ability to write in a concise fashion in order to document all pertinent data, develop plans, and present findings
