The process Engineer will specialize in the production of batteries and inverters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing manufacturing systems, processes, and workflows to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality. This role will play a key part in scaling production capabilities while maintaining operational excellence, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and product quality.
- Design, implement, and monitor workflow improvements in battery and inverter production lines.
- Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings for all products and subassemblies to ensure configuration control and production alignment.
- Optimize facility layouts, production schedules, and labor utilization standards to enhance throughput.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to support new product introductions and process scale-ups.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence.
- Conduct time and motion studies, performance analysis, and develop standardized work procedures.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, equipment, and automation technologies to support production efficiency.
- Support cost estimation and capital investment analysis for new equipment and process modifications.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports on production efficiency and improvement initiatives.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
- Proficiency in CAD software, simulation tools, and productivity analysis tools.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role, preferably in energy storage, battery, or power electronics industries.- This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, lifting 50+ lbs, bending, stooping, computer work, working with live electricity, and other physical activities.
