Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machines to produce high-quality metal components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency in blueprint reading, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Duties
•
Operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal components as per technical drawings and specifications.
•
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine machine setup and production processes.
•
Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers to ensure accuracy in dimensions and tolerances.
•
Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
•
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production efficiency.
•
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
•
Assist in the operation of additional machinery such as lathes, cranes, or forklifts as needed.
Experience
•
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•
Right-to-know, Loc-out Tag-out
•
Advanced Blueprint Reading
•
Strong math skills in geometry, angles, and distances
•
Proficient in counting methods
•
Instrument reading
•
Attention to detail
•
